Joe Biden’s latest: Leg hair, lap jumping, cockroaches and finger biting

Former VP Joe Biden bites his wife’s finger during a Biden “No Malarkey” campaign event in Iowa.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Not long after a video of former Vice President Joe Biden raised eyebrows by biting his wife’s finger during a speech kicking off Biden’s “No Malarkey” Presidential campaign across Iowa, another video has emerged. This one appears to be raising more questions about Biden than it answers. The video is now circulating widely on Twitter, racking up millions of views.

The video, a clip from a longer speech Biden gave in Delaware in 2017 was released along with a full video that is available. It shows Biden describing his time working as a life guard and making a speech that is being met with a mix of bewilderment, mockery and concern.

“I got a lot of… I got hairy legs that turn blonde in the sun,” Biden says in the speech. “And the kids used to come up and reach in the pool and rub my leg down so it was straight and then watch the hair come back up again. They’d look at it.”

Biden then goes on to make a reference to learning about “roaches” and also says, “I’ve loved kids jumping on my lap.”

The speech in which Biden made the strange comments is the same speech that he told his now infamous “Corn Pops” story where Biden claimed to have stood up to a razor blade-wielding gang leader at the swimming pool in the 1960’s.

Reaction on Twitter ranges from comical to “grossed out” to ironic.

Some linked the video to Biden’s finger-nibbling campaign event earlier in the week:

Some supporters of Biden’s opponents were also quick to comment:

As of the publication of this piece, the Biden Campaign had not issued a statement on the video.
