Team Trump says impeachment will lead to Trump landslide victory

President Donald J. Trump.

WASHINGTON D.C. – Late yesterday House Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced that she would open an impeachment inquiry on President Donald Trump based on a whistle blower complaint related to a call Trump had with the President of Ukraine. That complaint has previously been revealed to be from a person who did not have firsthand knowledge of the situation.

In a response posted on Twitter, the Trump campaign said, “Democrats can’t beat President Trump on his policies or his stellar record of accomplishment, so they’re trying to turn a Joe Biden scandal into a Trump problem. The misguided Democrat impeachment strategy is meant to appease their rabid, extreme, leftist base, but will only serve to embolden and energize President Trump’s supporters and create a landslide victory for the President.

Videos have previously shown Biden bragging that he threatened to withhold $1 billion in loan guarantees to Ukraine as he successfully forced that nation to fire a top prosecutor. The prosecutor who Biden successfully fired was reported to be investigating Biden’s son, Hunter over some business dealings in Ukraine.

It appears that the idea of impeachment is very unpopular in Maine. Tim Chapman, the executive director of Heritage Action for America, released poll numbers showing that Mainers, along with other Americans, oppose the start of impeachment hearings by a margin of 63 to 29. Chapman called the results “overwhelmingly lopsided.”

Slipping in the polls and reportedly falling behind in some key states to Elizabeth Warren, former Vice President Joe Biden also voiced support of an impeachment inquiry.

President Trump has promised to release the full transcript of the call in question this morning. Trump says the transcript will show the call was not what Democrats are drumming it up to be and has called the entire Ukraine controversy the continuation of the Mueller Investigation Russia “witch hunt.”

The inspector general of the intelligence community has since said that the whistleblower that triggered the complaint and controversy has political bias against President Trump and in favor of another Presidential candidate.

That report will also be released. The White House says they have nothing to hide.

Yet as reports came out that the White House would be releasing the full transcript, some opponents of the President then began diminishing the importance of the actual transcript of the call.

Instead, they said, the whistle blower report which is admittedly not based on a firsthand account, was a document that had more bearing on their impeachment inquiry.
