D.C. – By siding with Nancy Pelosi, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and members of her
“squad” on a vote to condemn President Donald Trump’s tweets, Jared Golden
joined their “deranged hatred” of the President, said the national press secretary
of the National Republican Congressional Committee, Michael McAdams.
The statement from the NRCC blasted Golden for the vote allowing Speaker Nancy Pelosi to call the President a racist and pointed out that Golden’s vote went against Thomas Jefferson’s rulebook, which has been in effect since 1801.
created some chaos in the U.S. House of Representatives, at one point, Rep. Emanuel
Cleaver (D – Missouri) who was serving as Speaker pro-tempore of the House during the debate to “abandon
the chair” and walk away.
“Next time Jared Golden tries to talk up his bipartisanship back home in his district that was carried by President Trump, just remember that he literally voted with the socialist Democrats to call him a racist,” said McAdams.
The vote occurred as a result of President Trump’s tweets about members of Congress who have made controversial statements criticizing the United States. Those tweets were assailed by liberals and some in the media, with Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and three other members who call themselves the “squad” taking offense.
Rep. Golden’s social media accounts and website are silent on the incident and vote.
